Watched some of it this Sunday (past), not really my thing - trys too hard to show how quirky allotmenteers are! Also I'm not really interested in the people more interested in growing stuff....won't be bothering again.

ps felt sorry for the young girl with the 'strimming father' she seemed to be doing all the work?!

Haven't watched any I'm afraid. Don't normally put the TV on in the morning.
If it was on in the evening then I would make a point of tuning in.

        Hi Jax 'n' Esky
Here is the reply the Beeb sent me re The Big Dig complaint re scheduling.
Thank you for your e-mail regarding Big Dig. I appreciate that you are concerned with the scheduling of the programme in a Sunday morning slot.
I realise that you felt the scheduling of the series initially was a failure. The programme was taken out following feedback from viewers who wanted to watch The Big Dig but weren't available during the day in the week. We realised that the scheduling of the series wasn't ideal for a large number of the people that the programme would appeal to. Even very popular programmes face competitionfor a place in the peak time schedule. These placings are limited in number and there can be practical difficulties in timing programmes to meet fixed "Junctions" in the schedule. Our aim is to provide arange of programmes for our audience at times which are convenient. I recognise that you feel this programme warrants a peak time slot and have registered your comments"
Thank you for contacting BBC Information

Doesn't that sound like a long winded version of naff off to you ? Haven't seen it at all as am too busy gardening on Sundays at Job Number three but doesn't sound as if I'm missing too much - especially up here.

I've just found this thread - I'm glad I wasn't the only one who complained! I was one of those unfortunate people in Yorkshire who dragged themselves out of bed a few weekends ago, only to find some kind of winter sports on BBC2! I was convinced it was just me being thick and I had misread the schedule, but no, t'was a last minute change by the BBC!

          Grr!

I've decided to stop watching and I'm going to make another complaint.

For one thing Simon Mayo is the world's most boring, insipid presenter who shows absolutely no enthusiasm for anything and secondly the editing is terrible!

Today we saw the same clip of that guy planting Salsify about 4 times over...they just repeat the same bits over and over again for some strange reason...it is so badly put together that at the end of todays program I was so wound up I was shouting at the telly in true grumpy old woman stylee.
