    More happy.

I feel much more perkier these days.

Could be the sunny, warming weather, the snowdrops at their best, my mini daffs starting.

Or it could be that me and the other half have decided to sod the self imposed chocolate restrictions and are currently enjoying a rather hefty slab of Galaxy.

I sown some cabbage & cauliflower seeds a few weeks ago, they sprouted with no heat in greenhouse, i have just planted some beetroot, carrots, and a few other veg seeds yesterday and with the frost about all day i put the greenhouse heater on to protect soil from freezing.

seriously good reminder that its way too early to be sowing outside yet even though my fingers are itching and i keep opening the seed tin like a demented woman just to check theres absolutely nothing i've missed

It was about minus 5 here last night & my little pond & water feature were frozen solid so I've been out resting pots of hot water on them. I'd just put a polythene cloche over the veg.patch last week to 'warm the soil up' ready to put some shallots & stuff in but now it seems to be 'to thaw the ground out a bit'!
