  • why are my post not appearing

    hi

recently my posts have taken a long time to appear on this forum. I receive a message telling me my message needs to be checked.

I posted a message at about 7pm and still has not come up.

I joined this forum as it was quick and received great advice, It seems to be changing.

    Thanks
    Lozza

If you post on the growing techniques board, which is a sort of reference library, then the posts need approving first.

I suggest that anybody posting in that board reads the "Board rules" post in that section
which does say "Read before posting" and says that all new posts need verifying by moderators and are disabled until that time.

The board is not for general questions but will build up in time to be a reference library, useful to all.

I hope this answers why your post was not visible until I approved it. It is now in the vegging out section and fully visible.

Oh it does Lozza - but it gets better. When they leave home you feel almost normal again!

Oh Flum.... don't day that! I've got another 18 years at least till I getback to normal in that case!

And if either of mine are like me, they'll buy the house next to us when they're older, just to punish us

....oh god, or they'll buy the house either side of us

Easy, move to France/Spain/anywhere when they're 21 and just don't tell them where you are!

The amazing thing is, when you go shopping, fill the fridge and then come home from work next day, THE FOOD'S STILL THERE!

From a missing food point of view the advent of the 'health grill' was a dark day. Prior to that anything which couldn't be microwaved or spread on toast was reasonably safe - now everything is fair game.

I've had this problem with new threads simply not appearing, but not with general replies. If we give a new thread a title which already exists somewhere does this cause the system to have a tantrum?

Yes Flum, but mine keep coming back. The youngest is now 25 and still visits for long weekends whenever she feels like it. The other 3 all live locally and pop in whenever. I'm not complaining (honest), but instead of 4 children I now have 4 families treating my home as their own. And by the way I'm expecting my seventh grandchild in April.

Hi Bluemoon, I don't think it does cause problems, let us know when your threads vanish and we can have a look for you
