I love the smlies - but rarely use them as I tend to just quick reply rather than full reply. But occasionally (well mainly on the other forum I talk lots on) I go mad with them and have messages full of them. I hope no one takes me too seriously but I probably should have a few on some messges.....

I think smilies should stay. As has already been mentioned, they help avoid confusion, ambiguity, and the chance of taking offence when none was intended

                    Is there an FU smiley?

Nah, just a few more indicators of moods.

I like the eek one where the hair stands up on end...I use that alot. And the shakey finger 'naughty naughty' one. Not that I would ever use that on here of course.

I've really wanted to use the "woohoo" one you see on other fora. Blue, runs side to side.

I have a few on MagicMum that I love - the guy munching, the chef, the chainsaw man, the surfer dude.....oh, and the guy juggling lots of bals in the air....

One other thing that I like about their smilies (and it's different, not necessarily better) is that they have afew automatically on the side when writing a reply, but lots more cool ones an an easy click link. But here, there is the quick reply which is what I tend to use mostly and there's no smilies for that.....

I forgot the shaking finger, and the placard of "I'm with stupid!" - that's me a lot.

Thanks Piskie, must try to get some more time for fun hunting things out - or else try to remember what the shortcuts are (didn't even know I had done one on the last msg
