    So is anyone going?

I've just put the schedule in the sky box to remind me to watch.

    1st prog - Sunday 21 May, 5.50-6.50pm BBC One

    then -

    Monday 22 - Friday 26 May, 12.30-1pm BBC One
Monday 22 May, 7-8pm BBC One
    Monday 22 - Saturday 27 May, 8-9pm BBC Two

lots of interactive stuff on the beeb website.

I hope the tv coverage is better than last year and they concentrate on the gardens & plants rather than the presenters!!

will defo be watching. dont like going any more - too busy. the best ever year was when I was working for The Times and we launched a rose - I got to go on press/royal day, see lots of set up AND get to walk round in relative peace!!

ohh - do name drop, did you get to curtsey to anyone??

sounds fab, being on the inside - I wouldn't like all those people either - hate crowds nowadays!

Never been to Chelsea as the prices & the queues put me off. Would like to go on press day as FVV did as you might get to actually see something then. I did see Charles & Camilla at the BBC Gardening Live Show last year in Birmingham but didn't shake their hands as I'm not much of a royalist & prefered Diana to any of the rest of them. I did take a photo of them though just to prove I'd seen them- Camilla looked like a real outdoors type- face like leather!

Just seen the piece about Amalfi - liked the piece but not the garden....

but I absolutely LOVED the hats for the purple (globe) artichokes!!!! WANT, WANT, WANT!!! The shots of fields of artichokes with all the globes covered with those cute terracotta 'hats' was great!

SBP., liked the hats too, the only thing is they would have to be rainhats over here not sunhats as in Amalfi!

Sue, don't say that! I've got those rain-cloud blues again!

I might have a go at looking for the hats on google - bet they cost lots over here, but next to nowt in Italy! Its like when you go somewhere that sells lovely yoghurt - Crete for instance - they sell it in terracotta dishes, doesn't seem to cost more. Imagine the price over here.

is it just me, or is the coverage getting a bit dull? too much celeby chat and bitty stuff, not enough on actual plants or design?

Must confess, I have fallen asleep a few times but to be fair I dont start watching untill about 10.00 so a bit tired by then.
On the whole I think the coverage is better this year. But they would be hard pressed to make it worse than last year.

I think its a bit boring this year. Lots of talk but all about nothing. What a pity as it could be so much more interesting.
