Do you know if there is any rough equivalent to the Wilko's stores in France?
Round our way we have Noz, which is quite spectacular, but they dont have a designated gardening section. Other than that its the SM's and the GC's neither of which are parcticularly cheap.
I have a great seed man in the nearest town to us, but his bits and bobs are very expensive.

Bob, try Lidl and Aldi, they currently have seeds (cheap, I think 35c for the basics but no other gardening offers at the moment.

Also it's getting the time when all the gardening pub comes through the door - I hit my local Leclerc yesterday because their garden promos have started.

We have an Aldi but no Lidls. Its not so much the seeds, its the other bits and bobs. Plant pots, fleeces, the various paraphenalia that goes with gardening.
The good thing here, as you know, is that when they do a sale, they really do a sale.
The boss got some gardening gloves vvv cheap yesterday from our SuperU as they are doing promo. Grrr and here I am.

When I noticed the title of the thread I was wondering what had happened to poor Les Frankase......................

Aldi are very good as TonyF says and our nearest Leclerc (Bernay) has a really good Jardinere but they vairy with the branch.

Have got nearly all my sundries there, also you could try Weldom, Bricomarche or Point Vert of you have any of those in your area.

Its just a question of looking around until you find what you want at the right price.

Have you got a HyperU near you? I know you say you have a SuperU but the HyperUs usually have more choice... Jardiland et al tend to be quite pricey unless it's the end of the season, I've found... Aldi here has just had a big promo on pots, cells and sundries, so I'm sure they'll have that in France too.
Incidentally, why are only French women allowed to answer this post? I thought it was going to be far more racy!!!

Clare, Aldi in France apparently have no plans for such a promo, well, not at the moment they don't.

Could also try M.bricolage, their prices tend to be better or France Rurale because that's where a lot of the farmers go for their kit or your local Co-operative, equally as good.

I only wanted women to answer as I also wanted raciness, but sadly as yet no joy (I dont think??? These profiles can be a bit problematic).
No France Rurale near me (although its countrysidesville here) we have Gamme verte, expensive, no Co-op or Aldi (boo hoo.)
We have just had a big M Bricolage opened up about 45 mins away, so may take a trip up there when I am back home.
Ah well, I am back to UK in a week or so and will do a huge Wilkoathon, Aldiathon and anything else I can find.
