aww hun I was just about to post (after trying to catch up on some bits) that I was back - love ya
We did have a loverly time thanks hun, I walked tons (hoping to lose the darn lump-in-leg, no joy - tis a diva and is waiting to be photographed) we drank a fair bit, we sang happy birthday to Mother in the restaurant, we drank more........
On the way back Snowdrop took me to see High Force which was approx one hours drive (back south yaaay) from where we stayed. It was totally amazing, I sat on rocks and a robin was hopping around me - we have camera video footage so I will try loading for you.
Tis great to be back - I really am a soft suvverner but the location was spectacular
Oh yeah, love High Force! Dad used to drag us there for walks when we was nippers, but didn't really appreciate it til I got older
In your absence, I have built a raised bed, painted me shed, drilled drainage holes in 3 huge packing crates, and got up at 5.30am twice to help #1 son with his new paper-round... It'd be fair to say, I'm cream-crackered! Another week of 5.30am's to go before I let him loose on his own (I'm not a morning bod!)
at one part of Hadrian's Wall the guide told us that 'yesterday a couple of people got blown over' gawd twas windy, the runway here seems very mild in comparison
It has been quiet without you Piskie, welcome back. Been to High Force myself in the past, it must have been fantastic & going at full tilt with all the rain & wind we've had recently. Very windy here the last couple of days too, just watching all the wheelie bins blowing past the window at the moment!
