I was feeling part of the scenery

Sorry everyone, never felt a thing. Thought the girls were pulling my leg when I got into work in the morning and they asked if I'd felt the earth move (they know I live on my own). Then checked online news and it was felt by several people around 10 miles away from here, also my daughter said she heard something around 1 am but assumed it was the noisy neighbours so ignored it.

I was woken by it (in Suffolk) but thought it was drunks banging the front door and went back to sleep.
Woken 5 hours later by someone calling to see if I'd been woken up by the Quake...

Here in Scunny (nearly 30 miles away)we got a loud BANG noise, followed by the whole house shaking violently. My first sleep-addled thoughts were 'wind's blown a window in' 'steelworks have exploded' oh no, earthquake, of course

It did actually quite frighten me, couldn't get back to sleep til i'd looked out front and back, had a drink, and got fully dressed in case it happened again and we had to leave the house

Wow poor you that is bad news, fire at Bacton Gas Terminal hope everything is ok and your OH was not at work at the time it happened.

Seems to be one disaster after another.
