  • Cherry blossom

Noticed this yesterday evening actually, but forgot about it until I drove in this morning. The cherry trees (well, at least that's what I think they are - pink blossom anyway) are starting to blossom on the industrial estate I work on. Looks very pretty driving into work.

    Has spring sprung?

Next door's plum trees are in full bloom at the moment - they look lovely. I took a picture the other day i'll see if i can upload it later.

Spring is definately springing! Was wandering around the garden 1/2 an hour ago and its lovely and sunny and warm. I'm making the most of it today as its supposed to rain tomorrow and all over the weekend. Boo

Wind's not such a problem in my garden - sheltered by big ole trees. Gets bladdy windy on the plot though!

Yes, we've got white blossom, pale pink blossom and dark pink blossom appearing in the hedges along with the catkins. Lovely.
And I caught a pair of frogs "cuddling" in the long grass

Our apricot is well ahead of anything else on our plot - tonnes of bloom and it smells delicious. I'm a bit worried about frost... but can't bring myself to cover it when there's so many bees making an early start to the year.

Catkins are a sign of spring too? We've got bladdy hundreds of them on our drive - flummin birds keep dropping them. I did cut back the elder bush in the garden a few weeks ago and that was already sprouting along it's branches. All the bulbs are up at the front of the house with plenty showing their faces. There's also lots of green shoots in the back garden.

February has been the sunniest on record according to the news this morning.
