Have been watching the last few 'finals' i watched the heats sporadically as John Torode irritates the chit out of me!
However, i did actually see the heats that Emily and James came from - Emily is so talented, but just really inexperienced and young so i can't see her winning. James looks like the one to make it to me, he wants to work in a professional kitchen so i reckon they'll pick him......although stranger things have happened!
Funny, seeing your post title as 'mastershout' i call it 'mastersh*te'
There's vegetable growing in the family, but I must be adopted Happy Gardening!
James will definitely get it; Johnny gets too stressed.
Loved Emily's pepper doo-dah's for pudding though...alot of faffing about but totally inspired.
I don't watch much tv, but did watch last night when I heard someone shouting at James for his scallops not being round enough [didn't know it was a cooking show at the time], I raced into the front room and watched the rest of it.
I would of cacked myself having to cook for all those Michelin starred chefs - Michel Roux especially. We met him briefly last year at The Waterside Inn - he came into "our" garden, and said hello.
I'm kicking myself I had to miss last night (family dooo for Grandad's 89th birthday - wanted to celebrate on the night). I reckon it will be James as well, but it seems like Johnny is the most "real cook" type, whereas the other two are very "cheffy" and faffy. I'd like Johnny to win as well.
Don't really mind any of them this year (there was one I couldn't stand last year, but fortunatly he didn't win), like the rest of you, think it'll be James even though I'd marginally prefer one of the other two. Is it just me but the way or was the food they served up for the posh chefs quite suspect looking - think I was put off by the fois gras (woulnd't touch something so barbaric) but thought that the truffle sauce on the turbot looked gross and the puddings were FAR too poncey for my liking. I know they wanted to show the technical side but thought that this was several steps too far.
Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.
We've been watching most of the programs this year ...and loving it!
Don't care who wins- they could cook for me any day!
( think it will be James though...)
"Nicos, Queen of Gooooogle" and... GYO's own Miss Marple
No surprises then! I'm just glad Emily didn't win. I don't think she has the maturity to make it just yet, she is doubtlessly talented however and I think John leToad fancies her, dirty ole bugger.
James won then????
I'm watching it tonight!!!!!
Actually- I don't cope well with the stress of things like that- so I'm relieved I can just enjoy it now! ( phew!)
