Off to see mine today she can be a bit of a pain but has been a good mother so I can't complain too much.and anyway I suppose I have given her grief in the past?

If there's anybody in the Upminster area of East London/Essex could you please do me a huge favour for Mother's Day?

I need somebody to go to the cemetery where my Mum is .........

With a large mallet and a couple of wooden stakes .................

And if the stakes from last year have moved, drive another couple through the old cow's heart.

If you never met her, you wouldn't understand, my Mother's Day was in Feb 1992 when she finally died and made the world a much better place.

I am watching carefully for sons with stakes creeping round the house. I must be a dreadful mum as neither has said Happy Mother's Day to me yet.

(I have been promised a belated mum's day for next weekend when Madmax is home.)

update, I have had mother's day hugs from both sons and a lovely blue heart necklace. Thanks guys.

My daughter's treating me to lunch (also meet her new man ). Youngest son taking me out on Tuesday, as he obviously can't do it today and most of the local restaurants are shut tomorrow. Haven't heard ought from t'other one, but it is still quite early and it is Sunday.

Just got back from a weeks holiday with my parents, sister, brother-in-law, niece and nephew. As we had a weeks long celebration of Mothering Sunday Mum has kindly agreed that a day on my allotment is called for. I am just waiting for a load of washing to finish so I can hang it outside and then I am off to spend the day digging.

                    Happy Mothers Day

My girls both made me lovely cards and I've had lots of hugs from my boys. I sent my Mum a little pressie in the post and will talk to her on the phone later.

I'd like to give a special hug to everyone whose Mums are no longer around too (well, except you Tony... think you're coping with your loss! ).
I was feeling part of the scenery
I walked right out of the machinery
My heart going boom boom boom
"Hey" he said "Grab your things
I've come to take you home."

Long slow cooking time in a hot oven with some garlic, olives and prunes, apricots for sweetness is optional. Good thing is that three of them should last you all week

Thanks, Rev!! I got cards from three of my four, visits from two of them, and I am cooking dinner for everyone (somehow that seems the wrong way round, but I don't mind)
