  • My B&Q bargain greenhouse

Last year - some of you may remember that bargain day that B&Q had when they sold those mini greenhouses for £20 (down from approx £60).

Some of you may have even been lucky enough, like me, to have bought one. It's sat in my shed since then and I haven't managed to put it together.

    Until now..

Finally managed to get a bit of time at the weekend, and put it together.

This is said greenhouse still in it's box:

here it is about an hour (and a few choice words) later:

and this is me, and myyyy, greeeeen-house:

I decided to use the mini greenhouses (slightly dismantled) as staging - at least for the time being:

Then, I had an idea to use the tops of the old mini greenhouses as little cloches:

I'm chuffed to bits with it.

Good man HeyWayne, all contributions at B&Q very welcome, supports my pension from the compnay.

Very impressive use of the other kit as well, can't beat a bit of gardening lateral thinking.

Looks great Wayne! I use my mini g/h's as staging too but hadn't thought of the tops as cloches - super idea.
I was feeling part of the scenery
I walked right out of the machinery
My heart going boom boom boom
"Hey" he said "Grab your things
I've come to take you home."

Yes, that was in part why a few choice words were uttered during construction. I think if I had a pound for every time I've banged my head over the years I'd be a miwyunaire!

Great Idea Wayne to use the top as a cloche, was going to put the bottom bit with shelves on top of green house staging, because as everyone knows no amount of room is big enough at seed sowing time.

                  An aside -
Been a while since I posted on here - great to find spell check!! Thank You

                      It doesn't look very big?

It looks great, but have you fixed it down to the deck? I'd hate for it to go walkabout in the winds.

As I typed if a word was spelt wrong it had a red line under it, a right click on the word and a menu came up with suggestions of the words comp decided you might want.
Sorry HF to hijack your thread.

He he, most things don't next to me!

Haven't fixed it down yet - my garden is pretty sheltered. That said, I will be putting a couple of screws into the deck just to firm it up a bit, and to be sure, to be sure.
