May I remind you that this is GYOs Forum! Discussion about rival mags should be on their own Forum thankyou!

You're not seriously removing any mention of other gardening magazines?????? That's a bit, erm, OTT?
I read GYO every month without fail, but I also read at least 3 other gardening mags too, can't see why I couldn't mention them in conversation?!

I thought we lived in a country with the right to free speech not in a fasist dictatorship. But this forum has made me think again. Is GYO that scared of the competion that it removes any threads with the mention of another publication. Next the moderaters will be out in the street burning this publications. If this is the way it is to be i no longer wish to be part of this forum

After a bit of a read this weekend I found another picture bloop. Page 24 deals with the top 5 annual flowers for allotments (your section Paul.) It mentions specifically the pot marigold, calendula but the marigold pictured is tagetes by the look of it. I'm sure Paul doesn't choose his own pics but I'd be cutting the picture editor's chockie biscuit allowance if someone had done that to MY article!

Must try harder GYO - after all, there's a lot of competition out there!

Sorry! It was meant tongue in cheek but I see that the typewritten word doesn't come over like that.

OK. Is there only me who doesn't find this confusing? The mag is on sale right up to the end of March, if it covered jobs for March then anyone who bought it on the 31st of the month would find that it was out of date. So it allows everyone to obtain a copy in time for it to be of use to them......I think.
Into each life some rain must fall........but this is getting ridiculous.

It may have been tongue-in-cheek Jennie, but if you read back through everyone's posts, you will see that there is now no mention of anyone else's publications, but quite a few moderator edited posts instead...?!

I thought it was giving you a list of what should be done in April?

Yes, so if you buy the mag on the last day of March then you still have it in time. If the mag which was on sale in March covered March jobs then those who bought it late wouldn't get much use out of it.

Tongue in cheek it may have been, but it was also meant to be a gentle reminder.
