    That's awful
I dunno what I'd do without the 'Vine
Thank goodness Flossie is back on the road, and for mobile phones! 10 - 15 years ago, it'd have been a drive to the nearest phone-box
Send her my love Madmax, thinking of her.

Hi everyone!! Temporarily online as I am helping my dad in his office for a few hours!

Boy have I missed you all. Thanks for the good wishes peeps (and the pm via Max Wellie - out of wine!!).

Thanks to those who sent text messages, they really helped lift my spirits. No seeds sown - scared to go out in case I blow over
        Happy Gardening,
        Shirley

Yay Shirley, good to have you back, even if only temporarily

Now, don't let Daddy work you too hard

Daddy has a poorly bad hand so isn't thinking straight - means I am free to surf the vine and get a good fix ready for this evening

Anyone got a cure for a silly person who keeps eating shellfish and triggering his gout?

Or taping his mouth shut to stop him eating it He knows it will trigger a bout of severe pain but that is not enough to put him off - he must be a real addict!

Kinesiology is great for "switching off" these sorts of reactions to things.

LOL... It took over 2 hours to try to resolve this issue today. I rang the international access number for BT (I am in Holland now) and I spoke to peeps all over this SBP of ours! Bangalore, Rijen (yes, next to me! Same room even!) , Belfast, Chelmsford and god knows how many other places. Result:

Analogue line active sometime on Friday
Broadband active some 5 working days after the 14th.

Shirls and I await with trepidation as to the real delivery times for the product. We are not holding our breath.

                          MAAAADmax!!
                          Let's go diggin' dirt....

Big silver bird, come land low and slow
Cut your engines, cool your wings,
                          You've taken me home...

I can't believe that the stupid B*st*rds totally disconnected the line....?! What the ...? They normally just de-activate it, if they think there's some problem with the bill or whatever. They have got to have had their heads well & truly wedged up their nether-regions to physically disconnect the thing...
If I hadn't already departed their fold, I'd boycott them for you

I have a HSDPA datacard in the drawer below Shirls lappy - I suggested she get a T-Mobile data SIM and use the mighty 3G UMTS system for 2mb internet. That way she will not be dependant on BT. But knowing our luck as we live in the sticks HSDPA will not yet exit there!

Anyone got a couple of tins with string between them?

SW - Appreciated. This is like a leech, sucking the life outta me now!
