My Ma and Pa swear they have seen a UFO.
Never seen one myself, however I to have a pal who swears he is an alien life form reincarnated on earth and is from the planet/ constellation (something) Pledes. I believe him too.
Imagination is everything, it is a preview of what is to become.

Oh Carl Sagan!! (love the bloke!) A great scientist and as much as he'd liked to have found life elsewhere, he was unconvinced there was any evidence for it, and I take his word...

This is a subject that I have always found interesting but it does seem that the majority of people don't (or maybe don't want to) believe in other life forms. The way I always look at it is that we are the smallest of fractions of the universe and so it seems more than logical to believe that there are other life forms somewhere out there.

It is true that you would have thought that they would have picked up our various emitions and contacted us, but there could be reasons for this. Maybe they are far more advanced than us and so have passed us by.

Also, there have been times when we have made huge technological leaps, did we have help? There are also a number of documents from previous centuries that seem to point to such visits.

Whilst there may be other civilisations in the universe, unless they have the technology to actually achieve a speed greater than light it would take them thousands of light years to get here.

I find the prospect of anybody travelling faster than the speed of light more implausable than the ideal of visitors from another planet.

As for unidentified flying objects, I have seen two, but they were just that, unidentified objects.

Interesting point, but they wouldn't have to travel faster than the speed of light, it would depend where they came from. Also, there is the posibility of worm holes, allowing 'shortcuts' through space.

What may seem far fetched maybe because of where our race is at the moment. Who thinks a mobile phone is far fetched today? Jump in a time machine and show one to king Henry 8th!

What fascinates me is the fact that scientists are always searching for other carbon-based lifeforms. Why carbon? Who are we to say that other races haven't evolved from helium etc?

I do, however, run the SETI at home programme on both my laptop and PC.....you never know!

There's got to be something else out there - it'd be an awful waste of space if not

                    ............

                    Just unidentified flying objects

In the summer of 1968 I was driving my motorcycle in north London. It was a pure blue sky without a cloud in sight.

A glint in the sky caught my eye and I nearly crashed as I saw a silver cigar shaped object very high in the sky. The sun was glinting off it (the sun was behind me). I nearly s**t myself as it was exactly what all the sightings I had heard about.

After about 3 mins the object began to bank round and that‘s when I saw the wings and tail. It was an airliner……. Ooops!

Not saying they don’t exist but from personal experience I think most can be explained away.

BUT.. I have heard of occasions when trained RAF staff have seen unexplainable objects quite close up. These guy DO know what they are looking at and that I feel leaves the whole subject wide open.
