not sure Two Sheds what your take is on fur, BUT.......... even a decent faux Fur shrug/short jacket is a must in any womans wardrobe, goes with anything, and keeps you snug...........mind you there is nothing sexier looking on a woman in evening dress, than her mans tux jacket, means he cares enough that you might be cold
and on that note i have just realised that i have NO party dresses at all in my wardrobe i never get to go anywhere
moving to france methinks, wif jeans and a decent cable knit.Last edited by BrideXIII; 03-12-2008, 08:20 PM.Vive Le Revolution!!!'Lets just stick it in, and see what happens?'Cigarette FREE since 07-01-09

I have plenty of exceptionally expensive frocks for spesh events...can't be doing with ...new stuff anymore
I have one cocktail dress (too tutu like) and last year's ball dress which is now all snagged and tatty.
I have a wardrobe full of gardening slobby stuff, but that won't cut itLast edited by Two_Sheds; 04-12-2008, 08:35 AM.All gardeners know better than other gardeners." -- Chinese Proverb.

You have all my sympathy Two Sheds, I'm so glad I don't have to go through all that now. It was bad enough this year for DDs graduation. But I'm sure you'll have a great time when you get there - it's just the preparation that takes it out of you.
As usual at this time of year all my panic energy goes into my fancy dress for new year's eve!Life is too short for drama & petty things!
So laugh insanely, love truly and forgive quickly!

Nicos, I agree totally. Whilst cow value is important, the way you dress just shouldnt be. The ex Mrs Leponge used to really give me a hard time for being too casual in the way I dressed, but then we would go to a function, and I would be dressed the same as all other Frenchies. Not slobby just not dressed to the 9's. A much more relaxed style of evening here.Bob Leponge

If I need a tux, I hire one, isn't it cheaper in the long run than going out and buying it, you can always guarantee it will fit.
Oh and as for 3 days, I'm more of a 10 minutes kinda bloke, you have the 3 s's, sh.., shower, shave, then smellies, undies, tux, shoes, and once ready 3 1/2 hours repeated say that's lovely dear, and no not that big, and my personal favourite, alright........can we go now!!Last edited by Mikey; 03-12-2008, 09:51 PM.I'm only here cos I got on the wrong bus.

My idea of a DJ is denim jeans or a donkey jacket.
