  • Funny/strange things/actions or questions your other half says/does or asks?

Just wondering. Mr C always asks why I remove my eyebrows only to pencil them back in??? I always ask why he kicks the tyres of a car/shakes them when having filled them with air????? (Actually, not only then but, other times as well.) Ladies, do your men do this also?

    Any others to share?

Paul does a strange thing where he moves the tip of his nose and pretends he's breaking it, but actually he makes the loud clicking noise by surreptitiously flicking his thumbnail over his teeth.

It reduces our nephew Eliot to tears of laughter every time, funny how kids love gross stuff like that...

The whole 'pull my finger' thing, even the children don't find it funny. Gross!

i have a double jointed thumb and can 'dislocate' it at will, kids think it is great but the OH removes my 'privileges' for at least a week if she catches me, claims it is far to traumatic for her

Too many strange things to mention, but he does have one or two pretty funny sayings - a couple I can remember are:
"Busy overtakers, busy undertakers" - when I'm driving. He's an ex driving instructor
"In the fullness of time" - usually when asked to fix something or put up shelving etc
All at once I hear your voice
                And time just slips away

                    Hahahaha, I like that one...

My OH is always "Just resting his eyes..." when he gets in from work, 'cept the snoring usually starts within 5 mins....

asking obtuse/vague not direct questions. It leads to all kinds of arguments!
"what are you doing today?" when he means "have you ironed my shirts yet?"

always asking me to check something he's written and getting cross when I correct it for spelling/grammar/understanding

Packing to go away for a few days ...I ALWAYS get the comment on the lines of ...."and have you packed the kitchen sink?" with.." I only need to grab a few undies and T-shirts"

OK..one question...WHO on earth washed/ironed /cleaned/shopped/sorted out kids stuff/medicines/pet care and finally packed the stuff?????

Always puts me in the perfect mood to start a holiday!!

My OH NEVER says he likes anything. It's always a non-committal 'I can't see anything wrong with it'. Drives me mad. Also, after almost 30 years of marriage, he has recently started doing this funny little grunt when he's eating, but only when there's just the two of us, if we have friends or family round for a meal he doesn't do it. WHY?
Into each life some rain must fall........but this is getting ridiculous.

Mine can't see why I buy big pieces of fabric, cut them up small and then stitch them back together again. I've given up trying to excplain it to him. If you don't do patchwork, you'll NEVER get it! I also get asked by some friends why I bother growing food when you can get it so easily at the supermarket. Same problem. If you have to ask the question you won't understand the answer!
