I don't know if it's a genetic thing - or possibly hormone related - but have any of you men out there noticed how the ladies in your life can remember word for word what you said about a certain subject (no matter how trivial or how much of a throwaway line it was) years ago ! My ex wife could do it and so can the current Mrs Rat, and Iona is doing it now too !!! God help me when Niamh starts talking !!

If I say that I'm tired the response is 'yeah, but I'm more tired than you'
(must admit, since I listed what I had done in the space of a day and said 'beat that' he hasn't said it for a while!)
Or, whatever I have cooked for dinner, if I asked if he liked it, he says 'it's alrightKirsty b xx

Mr D falls asleep 5 mins into a film, then when he snores out he blows a kiss (in his sleep), just to try and make me think he's still awake! lol! Dont know how he manages to do it, but it always has me smiling! lol!Blessings

If my OH visits my new allotment he walks around looking worried, shakes his head and goes home; I cannot be bothered to explain that it is 'my problem' and he does not need to worry about how much work it needs doing to it. He is so busy looking at the brambles and clumps of grass rooted into various bits of foam back and axminister, that he dos not hear the birds singing or notice the leaves opening on the battered old plum tree. But it is ok, cos he will understand when I grow something that cooks up tasty like new potatoes or rhubarb for crumbles.

My Oh drives me mad every sunday night when we usually have baked pots with cheese and beans (dunno why, think it's the only thing I have't been able to ruin so he hasn't gone off it, lol)
He ALWAYS asks me which he is to put on first, cheese or beans. I always tell him MY preference, (cheese obviously so it melts into the spud) and he dutifully does what I say and they moans as he likes the beans on first.
Well why doesn't he a) remember from one week to the next and b) use his own brain to decide... GRRRRRRRRRR

"what are you doing today?" when he means "have you ironed my shirts yet?"
always asking me to check something he's written and getting cross when I correct it for spelling/grammar/understanding
I also get "what have you done today" which means "why haven't you ironed my shirts?"
I always want to give him a minute by minute breakdown.Nell
