A couple of weeks ago I had to organise photos of every member of staff for our newsletter. Needless to say there were quite a few who were uncomfortable with this.

This morning I sent round an email saying that due to unforeseen technical problems I was going to need to do them again, and becasue of the tight deadline I am now under, I will organise them first thing this afternoon.

At the very bottom (quite a way down) of the email I also wrote:

"If you’ve scrolled down this far well done, you’re obviously harder to fool than I thought!

    If you haven’t, gotcha!"

Needless to say, very few people scrolled down and I received a number of calls/emails in return.

Everyone saw the funny side though.

My DH said there was snow (4 inches) outside this morning while I was still in bed, I had left some plantlets out of the greenhouse . A huge relief, thought I lost them.

You should have told them they would have to do a group photo instead as time was so tight

Just been doing some outreach work in our local labour exchange (in olden speak! lol) and they were putting false names of clients in each other's boxes to see if anyone would call one - one guy fell for it like a right muppet and called for Mr C Lyon!

I got this email through for April Fools Day for Eco Housing.

                Eco Housing - 1st April 2008

Click on the I-Brot house link below to see this great Eco house......
UK Estate agents with homes, houses & property for sale on rightmove.co.uk

                Building a green revolution
Today's obsession with global warming and carbon footprints has seen a sharp rise in interest for greener homes, with homebuyers now more likely to choose eco-friendly design over character features and graded listings. Reacting to this demand more and more new home developers are incorporating energy-saving features, such as solar panels and plumbing for re-cycled water, as standard in their latest properties.

In Germany, Grimm Brothers, an advanced building materials specialist, have created a revolutionary new 'green' brick, 'Ingwer-Brot' or I-Brot for short, which is set to take the construction industry by storm. I-Brot bricks are porous, cheap to produce and lighter than conventional clay bricks with a unique structure that helps trap warm air in the winter and cooler air in the summer.

Currently being trialled by property developer, Hansel Construction and their sister company Gretel Glazing, the first I-Brot built house made its UK debut this morning and could play a significant part helping the government reach its carbon emissions reduction targets by 2012. Hansel's senior builder says "I-Brot is great to work with and tastes great with a nice cuppa too".

There are, however, a couple of drawbacks with the new material, which Grimm Brothers admit they are still working to improve; including a tendency to attract birds and it losing up to 2% of its mass in tiny crumbs during transportation. A spokesperson for the company laughed: "Ve can alvays tell vere der Ingwer Brot house ist by following der trail."

I'd rather regret the things i've done than regret not doing them at all.

Just been had on another one - I can't believe I fell for it!

According to the email I received, there's been a new species of animal discovered in Papua New Guinea called a Loof Lirpa (get a mirror if you don't work it out) - it's a combination of a mouse and a kangaroo blah blah blah

I'd already forwarded it to a couple of my co-greenie chums before I cottoned on!

We've done a few lame pranks today:
Made OH a cup of gravy instead of coffee
                        Hid the remote controls
Told the kids it was snowing outside (well, it was last weekend)

The BMW advert for the new car with anti-canine extras is the funniest one I've seen this year.
Sent from my pc cos I don't have an i-phone.

There were apologies this morning on the radio station I listen to saying that people had taken one of the items yesterday to be an april fool - when it WASN'T! A feral eagle or owl or something who had been cpatured as it had been swooping down and attacking tourists in a scenic area. So they are not all as far fetched as they sound.
