  • Drought in North China

I was suprised to hear in the news that their has been a severe drought in china for the last 5 years. As well as last years drought in Australia, forest fires in some of Europe and America last year, this will putting an even bigger strain on the global food supply.

I don't know if it's me, but this is the first I've heard about it .

All my life there's been the everyday adage "in a worse state than China". It's a big continent, with a massive population and huge geographical problems. They do have hard working and intelligent people. But massive problems to solve. Good luck to them - and if any of them are lucky enough to make it here, we are lucky to have them.

From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.

I was in north east China last year and the reservoirs were pretty much empty and our guide did mention that it hadn't rained in ages. Did in Beijing when we were there though, got drenched and really filthy!

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?
