  • Windiest year on record methinks?

This has got to be the windiest year I have ever experienced and I haven't been eating artichokes or beans!

The wind seems to have wreaked devastation around here and we're only JUST into April.
Does this mean that if this country has all the wind, another country will be in the doldrums?
What climatic condition causes it to be so windy most of the time!

I've got a half built greenhouse which keeps getting panes of glass blown out and the poor b@gger up the road is in the middle of building a polytunnel which is in tatters!

I'm kinda pleased you posted that - the fact that you feel it's country-wide, cos I was close to asking for Snowdrop to get a posting as living on a runway is just tooooo windy for me!

    Maybe I'lll stay put

It's always windy here on the coast. I hate it.

Climate change is supposed to be bringing chaotic weather, ie. more rain and winds & not sunny balmy Mediterranean weather

Funny that, they must make a habit of putting airports in windy areas as I have Newcastle airport about a mile away from where I live!Do you get fog-bound as well Piskie?
