Who's going to tell Snowdrop what you're at when he's not looking (poor man, shoving the lawnmower around in this heat.... )

Is that the sort of thing you mean?
I have a very, very poorly looking Pieris. It's been in a pot, been neglected and all of it's leaves were yellow and wizzened. I've taken it out of it's pot and realised that when I last repotted it, it didn't grow into the new compost. I have taken the original rootball, removed all of the dead leaves (ie ALL of them!!) and now got it soaking in a bowl of water.

Does anyone think it's worth repotting? Has it got any chance or do you think it's completely dead? (it certainly looks it!).

If I repot it, should I trim back the rootball? It's was so solid when I soaked it.

Any help would be gratefully received!

Think of those geraniums you see in offices Piskie. Standing in the same pot for years getting the odd drink of water and nothing to eat and putting out the odd little apology for a flower.

From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.
