  • Arrrrgh!!!

Sorry, this has nothing to do with gardening (for those with better things to do), but I need to get this off my chest.

A while ago I was asked by our parent company in Germany to get involved, along with the agency I use, to help the redevelopment of the global website, based on the fact that most people (other worldwide subsidiaries) preferred the functionality and look of ours. I've been over for several meetings to discuss how this should progress, and in combination with the German agencies, we reached agreement.

Now that we've started to get down to the nitty gritty, the German agency have started to create problems (ring fencing their investment - which is understandable) making life difficult.

We, have decided to pull out of the project and do our own version of this now agreed new style as time is creeping along, and we'll likely miss the deadlines otherwise.

I too am not willing to compromise all the hard work we have put into the website over the years for the sake of commonality.

I've been compiling an email for three days now trying to word everything right - taking into account langauge difficulties, diplomacy etc.

    Bladdy hard it is!!!

I have a bit of a reputation in head office for speaking my mind and being passionate about what I do.

My MD is away on holiday at the moment, but he has given me the go ahead to cut the project.

I'll hopefully still be working for this company Monday morning, but if I'm not, does anyone fancy a marketing manager with construction experience, one careful owner, relatively low mileage...

Oh dear! How very frustrating for you! Richard has the same sort of beuracratic bilge to deal with - what I find really amazing is that he doesn't drink!
The weeks and the years are fine. It's the days I can't cope with!

Sounds like he want's you to write the letter in your unrestrained fashion because that's what he feels like saying but is to high up in the company to personally write it.
