What a day folks... The saga continues. Got to the 'Krankenhaus', got asked the usual questions, "Do you have a latex allergy?" being one of them. "Might have" was my reply (am I opening myself up to ridicule here guys an gals?)

"How do you know this?" was the next question...

Anyway, they took a blood test and told me I would be re-appointed for a knee jobbie in about 10 days.

        I start at Halfords tomorrow.

So next week we can all go through this all over again!
        Let's go diggin' dirt....

        You've taken me home...

So, how did the first day go then Max? Hope it was better than my day, of the 6 staff supposed to be in, 1 on hols and 2 rang in sick, so 3 of us to cover the whole store - no breaks at all today, just 5 mins for the loo and a drink, stressed out and ready for a drink methinks, now where did I put that corkscrew????
            Blessings

Oh, Mrs D.... Sorry to read that. My day was much better thanks! No uniform yet so I ended up doing the audio delivery sorting and rearranging the strong room stock. Dark, dank and dusty... Not a bad environment actually! Been threatened to be a keyholder soon as well... Anyway, Ripspeed in Haverfordwest has not had such a good year last year - so I have some task ahead of me to bring it up to speed (excuse the pun) - but it can be done. They are a good crew though. Our DM even mentioned that to me that someone from 'up North' knew me or I knew them!?!!? Got my log in now so I will be ready to rock 'n' roll soon. Bloody knackered though. Not used to these physical jobs. My previous life led a more sedentary lifestyle.
We have some spare corkscrews if you need any..!! I hope the rest of the week goes better for you and your crew.

Hi MMax - glad to hear your first day went well. Know what you mean about being knackered after being stood on your feet all day! I lost a stone in weight during the 5 weeks I worked at the cafe in Morrisons - it was like an 8 hours work out after being sat on my behind for 30 years! - I need a pair of braces to told my trousers up! Best wishes Bernie
