hi everyone I havent posted since starting my new job due to the fact my new employer seems to think it is ok to work from 7.00am to 10.30 pm day in day out in fact I have had four days off in the last seven weeks. I drive six hundred plus miles a week and don,t get mileage oh and all this is aside from the actual work i do ie care work. so as you can tell not a lot of time for anything else. employers response if you dont like then you can leave, like yes i've got loads of time to look for another job and i can't afford to just quit Anyway friends and family are looking around for me and i have got an application form for where my OH works so hopefully normal life may resume in the near future ie time for my lottie and family etc and posting on here

what about a temping agency? maybe you could get something temporary until a permanent job comes up or even this could leave to a permanent job, worth a shot if you left and signed up with a few agencies (beforehand) I'm sure you would get something temp for now. the hours you're working at the moment are ridiculous, good luck!

If your employer is not paying you milage and you can prove you have done it you can claim back 45p per mile on your tax return.
My employer only used to pay me 40p a mile so I used to claim back the 5p at the end of the year. Give your Tax office a call, they are very helpful and will be able to tell you if this requlation is still in place. My phone has more Processing power than the Computers NASA used to fake the Moon Landings

Sorry to hear about your job problems stargazer. I would update my CV on my PC, and print off a few copies. There are various sites on the internet that advertise jobs, depending on what you are looking for, try your local government website, nhs etc. Get a copy of your local paper with jobs in. 'Coz you'll have your CV ready, it is easy to pop a copy in the post.
Good luck.

Don't forget, you can plant out in the rain! Sow in the dry but plant in the wet, they say. Hope it keeps nice for you though.Whoever plants a garden believes in the future.
