cant move to thailand, Im a veggie who's horrible allergic to spring onions so i darent eat thai, have to be extremey cautious abot chinese and just about everything else at certain times of year (garnish
) as i can't even eat anthing that has touched spring onions as my neck starts to swell and the blood starts to get cut off to my brain (very spacey this anaphelactic shock). Incidentally, can anyone guess at the biochemical difference between normal onions and spring onions? I can eat normal onions raw, and every other member of the alluim family I've tried, but since a bad reaction to a strong spring onion at my grandads they're strictly off the menu for me.. would love to know what it is as wary about growing onions, from seed at least, as not sure if the thinnings will have the same effect
