A quality refuse collection service

ILots of people here have fortnightly collections now and I for one would not be impressed with that.

I would much prefer to only have my normal bin collected fortnightly or even less frequently, it's totally unnecessary for them to be picked up every week and a total waste of money. We only put ours out about once every three weeks (and yes, I know there is only two of us but my friend who has three kids and a dog is the same) and it's nowhere near full then. We need to get better at recycling (we have a compost bin, wormery and bokashi bin as well as separating glass, plastic, tins, foil, paper, cardboard etc and actively buy products with as little unnecessary packaging as possible. Also, make sure that things that do need to be put in the bin are compacted so they take up less space. I hate waste and if I can put things to a better use then it makes me feel much better about the day.
