I just went into town to get a pile of cash from my account (expensive dentist on Monday!) ...no card in my purse eeeek says I ....thinks when did I last have it.....when I last drew cash out numpty!

Asked nice lady in bank if anyone had handed a card in on 11 April as that is when I was last here and drew dosh. No says nice lady. Panic says Piskie

Runs home as fast as little Mini would run me, checked online to see if account had been raped - nope, all dosh was still where I left it - phew phew phew

Grabs phone and gasps at man in CS for him to cancel my card and get new one out to me - nice CS man does this saying card will be with you in 10 days noooooo dentist man wants dosh and lots of it on Monday....

So with card cancelled I go to Snowdrop's wallet to get a card of his and rape his account - WHHHHATTTT is my (now dead) card doing in your wallett!!!! Oh yes, I remember you used it on 11 April to get cash for me didn't you....

It's not just old age!! im only 27 and a few years ago i withdrew some money from my account! I remembered my card but forgot the cash!!! When I realised I rushed back to the mashine only to discover some lucky person had already found it as it had gone!!!

Loopy - my OH did that twice last year; he got a severe ticking off from me and is quite scared now but he hasn't done it since.

yep - he shouldn't have gone to get cash out for me last Friday when I asked him to and having done so he should then have given me the card back - yep, he is at fault

[edit] he has just come back from the Waitrose run with two (2!!) bars of Green & Blacks - so if that isn't guilt I'm a monkeys uncle

That's guilt all right and you can also blame him when you put 2lb on eating said bars of Green & Black
