You should resize your photos to 800 x 600 pixels (most monitors are bigger than this now) and save them as a jpg file which reduces the file size to <500kb.

You could open an account with a picture hosting site like photobucket.com. You load up you pictures on there and they give you a URL for that picture. All you have to do then in copy and paste the URL in the insert image option. Picture hosting sites are really good if you are not techy as they give you instructions and resizing etx can all be done there. Hope this helps!Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons for you are crunchy and good with ketchup!

I'd always go with a photo hosting site like photobucket, or flickr. That way you can post link to the full size pictures without causing any headaches for the GYO techy team.
When resizing you lose definition and clarity - sometimes important when identifying plants/bugs etc, or if you want to show off your handy work in full sized technicolour glory.Last edited by HeyWayne; 24-04-2008, 11:28 AM.A simple dude trying to grow veg. http://haywayne.blogspot.com/

I have used ImageShack® - Image Hosting for a long time now. Upload the picture from your computer, it will then give you a choice of links to post into your forum. It gives a thumb nail of the picture and when clicked will take the user to the imageshack site to see the full version. I have used an example one below, for you to see.
