Having read the previous comments, I am still of the opinion that photo 2 is bindweed.
As for Photo 1, I'm not sure that it is crocosmia - could also be Hemerocallis (day- lily), but as has been mentioned, if there are small brown bulbs at the base of the plant, then crocosmia it is. I don't think it's Kniphofia - the leaves are too narrow and soft looking.
