  • My Nan Died

I haven't been round on the vine much lately as I've been helping to care for my Nan in the last stages of her cancer.
    She died yesterday morning.
I am so proud of her and the brave way that she fought the illness. I'm sure it was her spirit and determination that kept her going for so long, she always had a smile for us even when she was in pain.
My family and I will miss her greatly but I'm glad that she is now at peace.
    Love you Nan. x

PS thanks to those of you who noticed my absence and have shown your support xxx

As I've said before now, if you need an ear to listen, or a shoulder to cry on (though you might need a stepladder) you know where I am.

Having gone through a similar thing a few years ago with my Nan, my thoughts are with you at this time.

Good Karma winging it's way to you via express post.

Nans are so special - I was very close to mine - I still talk to her and tell her everything thats going on in my life. I know she is up there taking care of my three angels and looking down on me and my darling two kids I have been lucky to have been blessed with. Your Nan will now be looking down with a thankful heart that she had such a loving family that were with her during her darkest days and at her release to a better place.

As you like the garden, have you thought of getting a tree or another longed for plant to remember her by. My angel will be remembered with a hibiscus - I just hope it thrives.

You and yours are in my prayers.

Lots of hugs LL. Your Nan was obviously a very special person and so are you for taking care of her so well and making her last days as good as possible.
I was feeling part of the scenery
I walked right out of the machinery
My heart going boom boom boom
"Hey" he said "Grab your things
I've come to take you home."

                            I'm so sorry for you.

She must have felt so proud of you being there for her when she needed you most.
Having seen you grow up from a tiny bundle into a loving caring adult is something which would have touched her deeply.
