Practise makes us a little better, it doesn't make us perfect.

Oh you know what I meant - now you're both just being daft

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

When we engaged our cleaner, I told her I would have to drop a key round to hers as we had to get one cut, so I did so and her house is immaculate. So I dropped the key round with no worries.

Not always the case though. Most mechanics/builders/chippies/decorators I know have many a half finished project. If you're doing someone elses, you tend not to have too much time to do your own. I guess the same could be said of cleaners...

Yes, I know what you mean, I don't do any busman's-holiday stuff at home or for friends. But I would want to employ someone house-proud to look after my house.

Wouldnt/doesn't bother me what their house looks like, it's mine their cleaning, but I take your point.

Glad it's all still going well for you HW - and this thread reminds me that I still have to get my key back from the cleaning company we had for a good while (now that I am no longer a student, ONLY a mom and full-time employee, and allotmenteer - I apparently have the time to do it myself again! - at least OH helps and the toddler usually tries to too!!)

                    • I have just found a cleaner, she runs a cleaning co near us and has just given my OH a wheelchair....so methinks we may employ her to come fortnightly!

                      • I don't need a cleaner. I need a tidy-er.
