Fuel Crisis!

What fuel crisis I can hear you all saying. Well there'll be one within the next few days I predict! My next door neighbour (retired) has just rung me to ask if I've got enough petrol as her relative just been to local Morrisons and they're queueing for petrol. Her husband has now just gone down road to fill his car up, bearing in mind they're both retired so other than shopping or a hospital or doctor's visit they probably only use the car a few times a week.

I put my normal amount of petrol in yesterday and refuse to take part in this madness which only benefits the petrol companies. The govt has asked people not to panic buy but as usual it's fallen on deaf ears

maybe the government shouldn't ask the people to panic buy? surely they are just 'adding fuel to the fire?' got to agree with you gemlady, why do people always listen to what they say?

Twas the same ere in chorley, coming back fro work, all madness, petrol stations full, we too refuse to take part in this madness...... all will be okay......just making it sound bad....

I filled my car up today, but only cos its payday, and I always do it right to the top on payday.
It will last me a couple of weeks as long as I don't do unecessary journeys. The cost now is staggering though up £15 on the cost of a full tank 6 months ago. Am actively looking for a job closer to home so I can use the car less, currently travel 40 mile round trip to work.
Its panic buying that will cause the crisis, not the refinery strike.

WhAT on earth is up with this country......you are only put on this planet once so make the most of it... the fat cats are only out to feed themselves....yu know who I mean....Pm's,Council peeps, do I have to go on... But to us grapeviners we can go to our own space and ignore all this fuss and enjoy our gardens/veg plots......so take time outand laugh athe world just enjoy your own space...phew amzing wot a a glass or two and watching the news does to you..........sorry folks for putting you through this

Its not just in the north that this is affecting last night our local Tesco ran out of Diesel. As soon as the message ' dont panic buy ' everyone does, whatever the product. I only have a little car and I dont drive very far I only put in what I can afford usually £15 last me a couple of weeks.

Its ok saying don't panic buy, but if I run outta Diesel, I'm buggered. My business relies on me being able to get to all our various sites.

My Mrs Paniced and filled both our cars up with Petrol today.....I was furious as they are both Diesels.

The whole thing should never have been allowed to happen. What is that all about. What are governments for if they're not there to govern. What a bunch of no can do wimps. Excuse me while I'm sick !

Panic buying, it's crazy. In the forecourt queues, will be the same people who buy up all the bread the day before a Bank Holiday, because they will STARVE for a day unless they fill up the freezer with 48 loaves of Hovis.

Sorry how can you panic buy petrol. I go in Every Friday and fill it up to the top. Mrs Nogs car gets filled up to the top when ever I take it out....strangly when ever I get to drive it the red light is on but thats another story. I also have a 5 ltr tin in the garage for the: lawnmower, Rotovator, Mantis and strimmer.
So how do you panic buy....Fill up the dusbin.
