Thank you all so much, It is very kind of you to help by signing.

My bees are still ok, but I worry for them- and all others. I love bees - All types, they and their lives are soooo fascinating.

I have been watching mine over the weekend- they come out of the hive and are flying over to the rape fields. All those tiny little wing beats from those tiny little wings.
To get to one of the fields they cross the fields, roads, a canal, a river and a railway line. They know exactly where to go and exactly how to get back, down to the last 3 inches from the hive entrance. I say amazing when you think how small they are. Look at the size of a bees wing, then think about the above.

From my heart THANK YOU x

      Signed up too.

With all the money they manage to waste on other things they should put some more towards worthy causes.

Signed and on behalf of Jim as well. Life would be a very different thing without bees.

I think bumbles have to be the coolest insect there is. Even the name is cool - "bumble", what a great word.

I had one following me whilst I was mowing the lawn, I reckon he thought my Qualcast was his Queen!

Best moment with a bumble was having one sit right on the tip of my finger, just sat there for ages....a huge bumble! bliss!

That would worry me slightly as it would appear I react somewhat to insect bites (see foot last year). Must of been cool though HF. Did you stroke it?

We didn't pick our bees, we inherited them, I came home one day to find a swarm gathered above out front door. The queen had decided we were right for her so who was I to argue. I had someone come and give me advice first on how to move them Mr Wasp was his name, and second whether I could keep them. The sound I find very therapeutic, when you're sat sipping a cool glass of beer on your lounger, and they are all around you busy visiting your lavender. sheer heaven.

HW yes of course but was so worried about hurting it, they are quite lovely.

The sound of the hive in summer, oh and the smell of it...and watching the bees, and, and, and....just love it all really.

Saw a completely black smallish bumble bee the other day, must look it up!

going to see how many types I can see over this summer, and keep notes! maybe if lucky - photos too!
