hi what a nightmare week ive had the pipes burst heres my story. we had a new boiler fitted as our old one was eating gas at an aweful rate, so got a codenser combi one. plumber was great only took a day cleaned up after him self costs were reasonable, on time and really got on with the job no dawdling.
however we found that the people who built the extention on the house 7 years earlier SAS and their plumber where more than cowboys and due to this the plumber has ended up with extra work to do. the old boiler SAS fitted was too small for the house so why it was eating gas. the plumber nearly electrocuted himself as SAS had left un earthed wires dangling in the loft. and as for SAS s piping weve just discovered that when they built the extension they quoted for copper piping and have fitted plastic ones in loft and only copper where we can see ( rip of gits ), plastic cannot take standard water pressure very well this is why old plumbers had turned our water pressure from old boiler down most plumbers avoid plastic, and when piping from one room to the next instead of just putting the pipes to the next room they have run them down length of house the doubled bag on themselfs no wonder old boiler was on overtime was heating over 10metres of pipe for nothing. our great plumber as i said made brill job of the new boiler and after a 11 hours putting it in left for home half an hour later water started appearing on the bathroom floor, called the plumber who had not quite reached home bless he came straite back the plastic piping old plumbers should not have fitted had burst under the bath, he fixed it but said the plastic pipes may keep doing this so to keep an eye on it, famous last words next evening puddle on the carpet this time next to a wall, yep another plastic pipe burst this time in the wall!
our new best friend the new plumber came and has done a tempory fix this time as we have give him extra business as are having all the plastic replaced to the copper it should have been, funny how SAS are no longer building houses. were just luck we found a good honest plumber to put others mistakes right no wonder he was highly recommended.![Smile](https://www.growfruitandveg.co.uk/grapevine/core/images/smilies/smile.gif)
