Will it kill larvae? Don't matter what kind, I need something to sort of rhyme with Good King Henry for a poem.....

According to one web site that I have just read it does kill larvae.

I will do but it will post it sometime next month - I think I am using it for an assignment in a creative writing course.

This was what I came up with. Still needs work done to it, according to my creative writing tutor.

A is for asparagus, arising in April;
A gourmet’s dream cooked under the grill.

B is for broad beans, a brunch for blackfly -
So pinch out the tops to prevent and deny.

C is for cabbage as well as for cauliflower,
Arm finger and thumb against the caterpillar.

D is for devices, devious and dastardly,
To combat the snail, slug and turnip flea.

E is for eggplant pickled in a Spanish dish .
F is for fresh fennel, a flavouring for fish.

G is for goosegogs and gooseberry fool,
Watch out for the sawfly and mildew too.

H is for herbs, horseradish and good king Henry.
I is for insecticidal soap slaying aphids and larvae.


J is for jostaberries for juice and jam.
K is for kale, curly collards in Jan.

L is for lettuce, loose-leaved and luscious.
M is for mushrooms, moreish and delicious.

N is for nettles, noxious for noses,
For fertiliser when it decomposes.

O is for onions organically-grown,
To harvest in July if autumn-sown.

P is for peppers, planted in plastic polytunnels.
Q is for cucumber classed with gherkins for pickles.

R is for radish, round rooted and red,
Or long and white for winter-use instead.

S is for squashes, for soup, pie and snack,
Or make Halloween lanterns for Jack.

T is for tomatoes, tumbling and tasty
For use in salads, soups, purees in paste.


U is for under cover, delaying decreasing heat
Prolonging the season for fresh things to eat.

V is for vegetables, versatile and vitamin-filled,
To be boiled, steamed, baked, microed or grilled.

X is for crossing cabbage stumps for more
Leaves to partner carrots in coleslaw.

Y is for Yalding’s unique organic garden
Lies forty miles out of central London.

Z is for zoo poo from Paignton and peat-free
With slow-release nutrients keeps plants healthy.
