Well done Tammy I'm glad you went.
I know exactly how you feel, we have been here nearly 3 years and I still dont know anyone here and I dont have a toddler to help me bond! My allotment is all on its own so no friends there, my yoga class is out of town and my work is solitary. I joined a book club which helps but I cant always make the meetings. Its hard to get to know people when your shy but worth the effort when you do.

I'm sure you'll find it much easier to make new friends now - I'm beginning to notice how much harder it is to meet new people once the little ones aren't so little...still, a challenge is good for the soul (or so they say!)
