  • Naked Lady

My neighbour has a beautiful plant in her garden which she calls "Naked Lady." When I Google this you can imagine what sites come up.

Can anyone help me with the proper name for this plant. I think they are bulbs?

    Thanks

Not absolutely sure, but I think they are colchicums (autumn flowering crocus). The flowers appear before the leaves and they are usually a lovely lilac/purple colour. If so, then yes they are bulbs.

Might be Dicentra- if it is bloom at moment- also called 'lady in the bath'- deep pink, funny shaped, hanging flowers, can also get it in all white

Autumn crocus are commonly called naked ladies. I'm with Rusty Lady.
