The pepperdew thread

The rude chillies (as kindly shown by Enrich100) can be bought from Amazon. I was bored and had vouchers so I bought some last week - think I'll rename them Enrich's Chilli. I've got one Peppadew plant (seeds kindly swapped from another Grape) - nothing happening as yet.

As of today (6th Sept) I haven't got a peppadew plant - don't think it liked being so far north!

Those pics from enrich100 look like Peter Peppers to me - keep meaning to buy some to have a talking point and for a laugh - rude veg are so much fun! Much more available than Peppadew. Still think the T&M Piquante Pepper from the Italian range is a good lookalike - but not sure about taste yet.

Peppadew seeds

Not all the seeds are taken out the peppadew as I found 15-20 while scoffing a jar. Tried to germinate them on damp kitchen towel in a germinator but no luck - knew it was a long shot. Love an experiment!

Yes Quark, those peppers are called Peter Peppers, and do look fun.
I had never actually heard of Peppadew till the thread came up, but will try and source some and then grow them (hopefully) and then share any seeds I manage to get.
