hmmm, I'm just finishing up a phd which has consumed my life for the last couple of years and I am so looking forward to getting back to my hobbies, or potting as my OH calls it.

I go to the gym a lot, not sure that is a hobby? I read a lot. That doesn't feel like a hobby as I read constantly for work and at home I read for sanity, without books I don't know how I would cope. I like to make things and generally just like to have a stab at it rather than follow instructions. Last year I made a garden bench and I am just finishing off a 6 person table I made last weekend. I like to knit but have only ever done scarves and a blanket, nothing too advanced, I make my own curtains and cushion covers, I have a cross-stich project on the go that I have been doing on and off for two years! I like to get crappy old furniture and paint/recover to fit into my house which is pretty much fully kitted out with second hand stuff but looks lovely. can't wait to have time to pot again!!!

Kiting, stunt kites power kites and kitesurfing, kiteboarding,etc.

camping
