  • What a bargin !!!!

    Hi all newbie veg grower here but that's not what this is about, wanted to get one of these can o worms wormery composting things but really could'nt justify the cost of nearly £100 to the other half but the other day me and the good lady were walking around Tesco and paid a visit to the little seasonal isle and what should i see but a can o worms composter for the knock down price of Wait for it, Wait for it £23 yep that's right £23 what a bargin i thought so a quick check over to see it was all there and it was swiftly put on top the trolley, now £23 for one of these is Really Really good so how even more chuffed was i when i found out at the check out they were doing 20% off all gardening stuff = 1 x Can o Worms wormery composter for £18.40 WHAT A BARGIN

      Great news Phattaff, where are you getting your worms from...?

      I got a womery over a week ago through an offer through last months GYO mag and wiggly wigglers.

          Sorry didn't see any other bargins (blinded by the wormery one), there's a voucher with the Can o Worms kit that i've got to send off to get me worms, I got it from the Lakeside Tesco but sorry it was the last one (think thats why it was reduced down so much they just wanted it gone).
          But keep an eye out in any Tesco near you coz they sometimes reduce the items in all the stores.

            How to build a wormery - Dorset For You
            This is a good link for a do-it-yourself wormery. A few years ago, I bought a few plastic dustbins and made a few - two for myself and some for friends. I live quite close to a wood, so there was no problem in stocking them up with worms. They do produce beautiful compost.

              I meant to suggest that the worms seem to prefer a little alkaline added. I put the occasional handful of calcified seaweed in the bins.
