    Hi Tammy,

Gargling with salty water....as hot as you can bear it will help with the pain and the manky tonsils.

You'll start to feel better in about 48hrs...till then just rest, plenty of fluids, beechams powder or soluable asprin for the pain.

    Take care x

Well I do feel alot better. It still hurts a little to swallow and I cannot move my head and have an awful headache and earache but at least I got my voice back. I needed voice for Daniel as he has been a terror (kicking and hitting at playschool but then he had such a rubbish day yesterday who can blame him) played me up so much from the time he got home at 3.15 till just now as I have already put him to bed. Hannah due back any min and it wont take much to settle her, then I will be back in my pit again myself!

I was in bed honest - I wonder if when I "hibernate" my computer it doesnt make me offline? Wont ask hubbie the question as he thinks I am thick anyway!

Isn't the vine fantastic as people will rather talk to complete strangers about a possible serious medical condition than go to see someone with medical experiance , concidering that every day people post on here because they have problem keeping a humble plant alive.
Has our faith in the medical profession slipped that much ?

          Ha! Nope Carl!
I think there are 2 types of people- those who rush to the Dr with a sniffle and those who feel guilty at pestering a Dr with something which might not turn out serious.

I worked in a Health Centre for 18yrs and the latter group tended to be the majority of patients!
Problem is....things tend to go wrong for those who try to be considerate to the overworked medical staff

I never managed to kill off a patient- but give me a houseplant and you can countdown the seconds!
