My 4 Little Raised Beds

Hi Folks,

I don't much space but have 4 raised beds at the bottom of my garden, thought I'd post a picture.

Also some grow houses to the left and hanging baskets with strawberries and tumbling toms.

Comments and advice greatfully received.

It looks like you've got what you need for successful veg growing. You just need good weather.

hi broadway, good luck with your veg growing, you'll be surprised how much you can grow in those beds, you can always add some extra troughs and pots etc, post some pics with your produce

Very useful looking beds Broadway. You could be growing something up that fence - beans maybe. Time to plant now, and they do pretty flowers. Thanks for sharing the pics.

Hi Danny, looks like a good use of space, does the bed down the far end get much sun though as it seems to be shaded by the two fences? I agree with Alice, maybe you could grow some climbing beans up one of the fences, you could grow them in a large pot or tub, try french or runner beans. I grow tumbling toms & strawberries in hanging baskets too, you just have to watch that you keep them well-waterd or they will quickly dry out & keel over. Good luck with the growing.

Hi Sue,

I have 8 baskets as well, 4 have strawberries and 4 tumbling toms, 2 red 2 yellow, a picture of 4 attached. Plus the green half tub thingies also contain strawberries.

I also have 5 grow houses down the left hand side which contain, or will contain cordon toms, peppers, courgettes, etc.

First proper year of going for it but seems ok to date. About 85% of my crop i raised from seed however due to failings had to get a few plugs as well.
