There's a bloke on our allotment site who I was chatting with the other day(I'm a complete novice, in my fist full year). I was asking him all sorts of questions about pretty much everything I'm growing. He summed it up nicely when he told me that everyone on the allotment site will give you slightly different advice based on their particular experiences. He advised me to listen to what they say and just modify/discard & tweek it to suit your methods and ideas. He told me that whilst everybody does things differently, they ALL take bags and bags of produce home with them. So I reckon there is no real right or wrong, just different methods and techniques.

A wise man indeed!
