No frost here either - lovely sunny morning that has now turned grey and dull. But the white clouds yesterday (with a cold wind to match) cleared when we reached the plot, so I have some "builder's bum" burn (I was determined not to get that this year!) and the toddler got slightly rosy cheeks cos we forgot any suncream or hats. Both have now gone into the daybag for any future unexpected weather changes.Comment

I have just given it a real pruning before it comes into leaf in the hope of getting some regeneration and the tree not having to work as hard getting water and nutrients higher up. If this doesn't work I'll replace it next year with something else.
