For Mrs Nogs Birthday I ordered her a plant from M&S....

It arrives upside down, In the box is plant, soil and pot. But neither plant or soil is in the pot

Phone M&S they so "sorry will send another"

Next night on door step upside down is box and when we open it its Plant Soil and Pot.

So I phone them again. Bloke on phone is very sorry and says if I send you another it will probally be delivered the same...I could send you a Olive Tree as a replacement

So we are the proud owner of an olive tree...

Well done, how ridiculous of the delivery driver though, perhaps they should be able to read the "this way up" sticker, thats if M&S used one!!

Would expect sooo much better from M&S.
Shouldnt they be speaking to the delivery guys and asking them to explain why they cant deliver a plant the correct way up rather than saying it would probably be delivered the same again???If the guys at the place i work did that on more than one occasion they could face disciplinary action!

There is a masive Arrow on the box. The reason I phoned the fist time was because the packing was poorley designed..and the driver had it upside down.

Something's badly wrong there Nog .I sometimes bring plants from Glasgow to N.Ireland for M+S and can assure you that's not suppossed to happen.
I would think that the "mistake" has happened between when the plant has been unloaded at the store or when the final delivery driver picked it up.
Somebody somewhere just hasn't taken enough pride in their work - its not really that hard to check that the box is the right way up.
Ring back and ask for "Bloke on phone's "boss and explain if still not happy ask for his boss until you get what you wanted in the first place.You paid for a plant and you have not got it yet.

I had the same problem with a plant delivered for Xmas - it arrived looking like someone had played football with it. They couldn't replace like for like, so I got a lovely bouquet for Xmas instead. When I spoke to M&S about it, the phone operator said (rather tellingly, I think) "oh, not another one".

Are all delivery drivers no speaka da Ingleesh now? We had several parcels delivered last week. All had "leave by back door" on the label. Every single one was left at the shop next door-but-one (which is shut when we come home).

Actuall I am well happy....me and olive are getting on lovely and with a bit of a hard prune and a few days in the green house the other two plants seem to be recovering...
