I reckon I could feel a connection with Rachel too!

Personally I reckon Monty is irreplaceable. Them's big shoes to fill.

I reckon they should hold a viewers vote to see who the next presenter is. You only have to read a few GW related posts on here to see that there are a number of choices/opinions.

Oh, and get well soon Monty!

Edit: I quite like Alys too.

I like Carol, but agree that she may be too enthusiastic for the role, someone with a relaxed manner and understated down to earthness would be good. I dont think there's anyone currently on the team that would do it for me, and deffo dont want someone like Dermet or Hannah Genders to step in, they both seem too 'cocky' to me, if you know what I mean!

Sorry to hear about Monty yesterday. I also liked his style of presenting. I cant say I like Rachel to take over but I do like Carole, I like her enthusiasm! What about the chap who used to do The Flying Gardener I really like his way of presenting and you dont see him much these days. His name escapes me this morning as I've not had enough coffee.

Chris Beardshaw you mean ...........wooooooooooo *faints ... or did you mean the pilot

But I doubt he would take it even if offered, he prefers to teach I believe I read somewhere - but oh yes please

The Irish chap would really work for me, can't remember his name, he is sometimes on GQT and presented the BBC Ireland version of Gardeners World...who is he?

John Cushnie would probably be good alright - he does a show on the BBC Norn' Irn' (the Greenmount Garden?) with a couple of others which is quite decent although I haven't seen it for a while now (find it for a while and then miss the start of the new seasons every time).

I hope Monty is recovering well, and that he can at least enjoy his own garden in some way.

I was sorry to hear about Monty, I like his laid back style & really enjoyed the '80 Gardens' series. I hope he takes it easy & enjoys spending time in his own garden with his own family & makes a full recovery. Get well soon Monty.
