  • Who's a clever little Hon Sec then?

Chuffed to bits........39 out of 39 plots rented and paid for!

Just taken over as Secretary of our Association and we had two people leave last year. We had two on the waiting list so one was filled and paid for instantly, but the other, after first agreeing to take the plot, didn't follow through with the plot rent.
Luckily I spotted a nice couple having a look around and got chatting, explaining that there may be a plot available if the other person backed out of the deal. I got their details and contacted the original rentee wanabe. Due to personal circumstances she was now unable to take the plot. Rang the other couple straight away and to cut a long story short they now have the last plot and a key for the main gate and I have the plot rent.
I think it was some guy in the 'A' team used to say " I love it when a plan comes together"

I can now flex my muscles and try and get some of the weed ridden plots tidied up!

Well done Snadger. I'm always amazed when I hear about the problems on allotments and the state some people allow them to get into. Just as well I have nothing to do with it or they would have to shape up or ship out.

From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.

Well done Snadger. It always seems a shame to see so many allotment plots unused, good luck with tidying up the rest
