Yes, my sister has recently become the proud owner of a Horsfield aka Russian tortoise. The tortoise is doing fine, but we are having difficulty telling whether Charlie is a boy or a girl! Mind you, Charlie is only 2 years old and still a baby, so maybe it's too young to tell? Nice website, by the way.

We have been trying to get one for six months....We don't want to spend the £300 the petshop wants so we are on the RSPAC and Tortoice Rescue waiting list.

Yes 2 years is too young to tell the sex, you will probably know by 5 years old, i have 3 horsfields.

Have you tried my breeders list? most sell there babies for £100?
