We've got an onion squash which has lots of big seeds inside. It seems a waste to throw them away, are they edible, raw or cooked?

Yes squash seeds are edible.
However....
I tried a variety specifically bred for seed usage, naked seeds n all that, got low yield and tried drying then in the oven, set as low as possible without going out, smelt wonderful, but they cooked and stayed wet, nasty mess in tray.Always thank people who have helped you immediately, as they may not be around to thank later.
